Long standing family owns this reopened meat market. Glad to see it. Great selection of meats of all kinds from beef to squash. Great dried meats also. Restaurant to open soon after remodel. Good to have both stores open again soon!

Pro tip you can call in your orders the old fashioned way and pick them up. And so avoid standing around waiting. Happy they are back!

Re-opened on 23 Feb 2026 - what a great day for cbad that we can shop at Tip Top again. John's legacy lives on with quality products and excellent service. Look at the cuts in my attached photos and tell me where else you can get meat of this quality with in any distance of here? Proper suppliers with real feeds, skilled butchers with clean work - I can see and taste the difference from these professionals. So glad they're back!

Tip Top is back! They opened in the smaller location close to where their original location was. And great news their original menu is back! The lines are a bit long though so unfortunately its not a quick turnaround time to get your food. Everything right now is take out as they have only a few tables outside their shop. However, the food is still incredible. We went there for a late lunch and was not disappointed. Ordered a pork osso busso, beef stoganoff, and beef ribs. The line was long though but it was not unreasonable. They are a bit short staffed but then they just re-opened. Hot sandwiches looked so yummy and breakfast is back and available until noon. Just a note entrees do not come with soup or salad anymore, but with take out, it would be a bit difficult. However two sides (mash potatoes, coleslaw, fries, red cabbage, saurkraut, etc) do still come with entrees. Oh and prime rib will be available on the weekends as well. Happy they have returned.

The best Deli and butcher is back to business! I love Tiptop! Legendary/Iconic/Unique spot in north county SD! You must try it!

So happy this place has reopened! They’re currently outdoor seating only, which gives it a relaxed, open-air vibe. There’s also a small grocery section with curated items. If you have the reusable tumbler (Tip Top Breakfast Club), you can still get free coffee. Food is slightly more expensive, but it’s so worth it! We will keep supporting them so they don’t have to close again.
